Verdigre Public Schools
Verdigre, NE | 2012
23,500 sq. ft. – New
55,150 sq. ft. – Renovation
Carlson West Povondra Architects was hired to help plan and promote a bond referendum in Verdigre to replace their aging two-story high school building. The existing Verdigre campus has four independent educational structures, a K-6 Elementary, a Gymnasium, a Vocational/Ag building, and a 7-12 High School.
This project added 23,500 new square feet of classrooms, administrative space, ADA accessible locker rooms and a weight training/fitness room. The floor plan was arranged in order to create a single K-12 facility, enabling students to move freely between all educational spaces without leaving the facility. The existing high school facility was removed to allow for additional playground space.
