Located in the heart of West Omaha on one of the city’s busiest arterial thoroughfares, Lexus of Omaha is one of the highest volume sales Lexus dealerships in the country. When evaluating possible sites for their new multi-building auto campus, Lexus of Omaha concluded that it was most advantageous to utilize their existing prominent location. CWPA assisted the client in master planning and phasing the renovation of a temporary location and relocating their dealership while concurrently designing the new facility. The urban landlocked existing site posed many challenges to allow adequate space for sales showroom, service garage, detail garage, and ample vehicle parking.

To increase visibility, the showroom floor was elevated to provide significant visual presence both day and night from the adjacent expressway. A roof-top parking deck was incorporated above the service garage to maximize site area.

This premium automobile brand currently imposes no “corporate design” upon its new dealerships. This atypical approach allowed the owner and CWPA the design freedom to focus on their mutual desire for incorporating sustainable design features along with quality materials to reinforce the luxury brand. The solution features a major emphasis on biophilic design with organic elements creating focal points and spatial separations. A large green/plant wall in the showroom serves as backdrop to vehicles behind the glazed façade. A bamboo tree screen separates customer lounge spaces from the showroom and a green roof, highly visible from interior spaces, surrounds an outdoor patio.

Customers are provided a personalized and unique car buying and service experience within multiple sales, lounge, and custom design spaces distributed throughout the showroom building. This one of a kind dealership has elevated the car buying experience by becoming a destination that enhances automobile ownership.
