Battle Creek Public Schools commissioned CWPA to explore improvements in its existing school properties. The improvements were divided into three programmatic areas, including the elementary school, high school and athletic facilities. 

The elementary school consists of new construction to create a secure, public entrance that will include the administrative functions of the school. The interior renovation consists of improvements including interior finishes for Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms, new art classrooms, updated special education classrooms, and more. 

The athletic facilities includes installing a new running track and expanding the high jump areas. It also includes renovation of the existing pole vault and jumping event runways and replacing the throwing rings for shot and discuss event areas.   

At the high school a new addition will add agricultural and welding classroom/lab spaces. This includes constructing interior and exterior holding pens for livestock and renovating the existing shop classrooms to expand construction trades into vacated metals shop.
